Determines fabric stiffness using the ASTM circular bend test method.
A plunger of 25.4 mm (1 in) diameter pushes the fabric through a 38 mm (1.5 in) diameter orifice for a distance of 57 mm (2.25 in) in 1.7 seconds, and the maximum force is recorded.
Provided with pneumatic cylinder, controls and battery-operated digital force gauge (switchable) 50 kgf / 500 N / 100 lb or 25 kgf / 250 N / 50 lb with peak-hold facility.
