The X-Rite Ci62L+RTL is a large-aperture handheld sphere spectrophotometer designed for fast and accurate paint color matching on rough, textured and outdoor surfaces. The X-Rite Ci62L+RTL Handheld Spectrophotometer is a portable large-aperture color measurement solution designed specifically for retail paint measurement, anti-graffiti applications and color matching on outdoor surfaces.
Its 14 mm measurement area and 20 mm target window make the instrument particularly suitable for rough and textured surfaces where obtaining a representative color measurement can be challenging. The Ci62L+RTL uses a sphere-based d/8° measurement geometry and smart averaging technology to provide reliable measurements across larger or uneven surfaces.
The instrument is designed for applications such as matching paint used to cover graffiti and restoring or repainting stucco, concrete and other outdoor surfaces. Operators can compare measurements from original and repaired areas to identify an appropriate color match and support quality control.
The Ci62L+RTL can store and retrieve up to 4,000 samples, helping users maintain frequently used or standard color references and track measurements during paint-matching work. When combined with ColorDesigner PLUS software, it provides a complete workflow for paint color matching and formulation, helping reduce formulation errors, rework and wasted material.
For professional color measurement, the Ci62L+RTL supports illuminants including A, C, D50, D55, D65, F2, F7, F11 and F12, with 2° and 10° standard observers. Its spectral range is 400–700 nm, with measurements taking approximately two seconds.
The rugged and portable design makes the Ci62L+RTL suitable for color measurement at retail paint locations, on job sites and in outdoor painting applications. In Sri Lanka, it can support paint manufacturers, retailers, contractors, maintenance teams and professional color-matching operations requiring reliable measurement of challenging surfaces.
