This six-station bench-top tester is designed to evaluate a material’s resistance to rubbing motion under controlled conditions. The instrument features clamps for securing both the test specimen and rubbing material, enabling consistent dry and wet rubbing tests. A built-in cycle counter automatically stops the machine at the end of the programmed test cycles, while test results are assessed through visual evaluation. The tester is supplied with two sets of test heads, multiple weight options, and counterbalanced test arms to ensure accurate and repeatable testing performance.
Unit is a six-station, bench-top machine that includes clamps for sample attachment to a moving platen and clamps for a weighted rubbing arm for attachment of rubbing material.
Cycle counter automatically stops machine at end of test cycles.
Test samples are visually evaluated.
Includes two sets of test heads (6 heads each set) weighing 200 g and 500 g each, complete set of weights (6 each) of 100 g, 300 g, 400 g and 800 g which fit either test head.
Each test arm is counterbalanced to offset arm weight.
Suitable for dry and wet rubbing tests.
