Automatic Tensile Tester for Elastic Yarns STATIMAT MEL+ |

| With its high-resolution (10 µN) load cell the STATIMAT MEL+ is TEXTECHNO’s tensile tester for elastic yarns. According to international standards elastic yarns are to be tested with a pretension of 0.01 cN/tex. The STATIMAT MEL+ is capable of testing both bare elastane (Spandex) as well as elastic combination yarns and other novel highly elastic fibres types such as TPU. At the same time regular textile yarns can also be tested.
Besides the automatic testing mode, a special device is available for tensile testing according to the BISFA standard. Here, all influence coming from the user and the clamping system are eliminated that otherwise affect tests on bare elastane yarns. In addition, other sample holders and load cells are available for tests on elastic woven- and knitted fabrics. |
