To assess the evenness, hairiness, neps and other imperfections in a representative sample of yarn wound at a pre-determined pitch onto a tapered black board. Variable pitch traverse 8-19 wraps per centimeter, variable winding speed drive, with yarn package stand and 2 black anodized aluminium boards 225 x 600 x 155 mm dimensions.
