This abrasion tester is designed to rapidly determine the wet and dry abrasion resistance of flexible materials, including textiles, paper, leather, and plastics. During testing, specimens are tumbled within a cylindrical chamber lined with an appropriate abrasive material, while a propeller-shaped rotor provides controlled abrasion at a predetermined speed and duration. The instrument can be configured with rotors and liners for ASTM/AATCC testing or M&S testing requirements, offering a versatile solution for abrasion resistance evaluation.
Samples are rapidly tumbled within a cylindrical test chamber lined with an appropriate abrasive material. The tumbling action is provided by a propeller-shaped rotor for a predetermined time at a predetermined speed.
Can be specified with rotors and liners for ASTM/AATCC tests or for M&S Tests (Accredited Suppliers only).
