The Taber Wear & Abrasion Tester is designed to determine the wear resistance of a wide range of materials, including metals, paints, plated surfaces, coated materials, textiles, leather, and rubber. Using the characteristic X-pattern abrasion generated by rotating abrasive wheels, the instrument provides consistent and reliable wear testing. It is supplied with a comprehensive range of accessories, including auxiliary weights, specimen holders, abrasive wheels, and a vacuum unit. The tester features a membrane keypad and a preset electronic counter for convenient and accurate test control.
Uses the X pattern of abrasion produced by a rotary action of abrasive wheels. Supplied with a full range of auxiliary weights, specimen holders, abrasive wheels, and a vacuum unit, fitted with a membrane keypad including a predetermined electronic counter.
Also available in a dual head model features two sample turntables, allowing two tests simultaneously (test two different or identical specimens for comparison or contrast).
Separate function keys operate the turntables independently of each other.
